Nichols Creek, Cascade Mill Pond Park, and Dam Update/Feedback Needeed: Thank you everyone who came out last night to look at and discuss the options for the future of our Millpond. For those that were unable to attend please see the slides below as they go over much of what was presented and discussed as future options. If you would like to fill out the survey, they are available at the Village Hall during normal business hours or you can print it from our Facebook or Website and drop it off in the village drop box.

Cascade 175th Anniversary and Queen Contest

The 175th Anniversary Committee has taken the feedback from the community and decided to hold a Pot Luck on September 16th, 2023, more details will be in the next newsletter in July. 

Queen Contest Rules & Entry Procedure:

Contestant Eligibility: A contestant must be a resident of the Village of Cascade or have a Cascade adddress and also be between the ages of 14-19 by June 1, 2023, the essay deadline. 

Entry Prooedure: Each contestant must complete (1) an official Village of Cascade Queen Contest application (see image with this post) (2) write a 250 word essay answering the following: Why do I like living in Cascade? What does Cascade mean to me?

**The entry deadline is June 1, 2023. Applications and essay must bee delivered to the Village Hall by June 1, 2023. Late applications will not be accepted. 

Determinatiton of Winner:

  • Essays will be evaluated by a non-resident of Cascade, picked and agreed upon by tthe 175th Anniversary Committee. 
  • The winning contestant will be required to attend the Fall Potluck on September 16th, 2023. 
  • The winning conttestant will receive a $250 savins bond.
