⚠️ Emergency Alert 09-06-2025: Saturday 9/5/2025 between 8am and 1200pm Cascade will hold it's first annual village dumpster day. Residents with proof of residency may bring what ever is cluttering their yards to Memorial park parking lot. We will have a dumpster for garbage and a dumpster for metal. We will accept most everything except TVs and liquids. This is a first come first serve. Once the dumpster is full we will not accept any more garbage. Fees will be $5.00 for car $10.00 per pick up truck and $15.00 for trailer.

Building Permit Regulations

📁 Building Permit Application

All improvements or repairs made to your property (whether performed by yourself or a contractor) with a value of $1,000.00 or more require a building permit.

A building permit application, and $15.00 fee will be required for the following repairs or replacements even if the value is less than $1,000.00;

  • Re-shingling an entire principal building
  • Widening the opening of a window or doorway
  • Closing up an exit door or stairway
  • Building a new structure, or enlarging an existing one
  • Stairs – interior or exterior
  • New driveway

If work being done exceeds $50,000, the permit fee varies.

Any project that will change the footprint of your existing buildings, (additions, decks, out buildings, etc.) or infringe on property lines (fences, driveways, etc.) require a map of the project and an inspection.  Applicable corner stakes and lot lines must be clearly marked.  Please allow a minimum of 48 hours for an inspection.

You must have a permit issued to you before any work begins.

Please allow 5 business days to process your permit.

Permits must be displayed while work is in progress and expire one year from issuance.  Additional work not specified on the original permit requires another application.

Construction that involves a connection to the sewer and water system requires inspection when the lateral is installed.  Inspection requests must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to obtain proper inspection will result in applicant being responsible for all additional costs incurred.

New home construction requires additional permit pack, and forms to be filled out. A $700.00 new home inspection fee is also required.

IMPACT FEES new hook up to sewer and water system after March 14, 2006 will be required to pay the following impact fees at time of permit application;

Sewer impact fee $1,500.00
Water impact fee $500.00
